BBCA's is happy to welcome our newest faculty member,
Katherine A Rogers. She comes to Back Bay Christian
Academy from the
Virginia Beach Public School System where she has taught
reading for the past 5 years.
 Before
teaching in
Virginia Beach, she taught a year at
Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake. Katherine (Kate)
graduated from Virginia Tech with a BA degree in Liberal Arts
and Sciences. Upon graduation, Kate joined the Peace Corps and
taught English in
Kenya,
East Africa for two years. She married and had two
children while in
Africa. Kate spent ten more years living and teaching in
Kenya and came back to the United States in 1996 with her
children, James and Rachel. She returned to school and received
her M.Ed degree from
Regent University. She is a certified reading specialist
and special education teacher. She is looking forward to
teaching all of your children and is sure that in the process,
she will learn quite a bit herself! |
